In present Weize Township there are two lakes: Long Lake and Round Lake. The water in Long Lake is clear and blue, and looks very beautiful. The water in the round lake is deep. It is said that when the lake is dry, the bottom of the lake will be covered with grass; if a person goes down to mow in the morning he will come up after sunset.

Long long ago there were two brothers named Ajin and Aqing. They were both tall and practiced Kungfu very well that they could drill a well by one punch only. Working hard, they lived a happy life.

As the saying goes, nothing good comes easily: there were two monsters in this place. One was a long dragon that could turn in the sky and move clouds; the other was a big tortoise that could roll on the ground to press a huge pit.

Dragon and tortoise became sworn brothers. They often disturbed villagers’ life, and hated Ajin and Aqing who were helpful.

One day, tortoise offered an idea: “all the villagers support Ajin and Aqing now. If this continues, we could no longer own this place. I think we should kill them as soon as we can.” Dragon said: “what you say is quite reasonable, but they are really strong and they have Kungfu, I’m afraid it is not easy to kill them.” Tortoise said: “though they are really strong and have Kungfu, they can't fight in water.” Then tortoise whispered to dragon, and the latter laughed happily.

However, they did not expect that their conversation was completely heard by a 水鹰[C1] , who flew to tell Ajin and Aqing.

Hearing the news, Ajin and Aqing started preparation. Ajin mixed sand with chilli powder; and Aqing fetched an iron rod in his hand. The brothers waited at home.

The next day, dragon rushed here and started its magic. Suddenly the sky became covered by clouds with thunder and rain. Dragon shouted in the air: "Ajin and Aqing, come out to get killed.” With repeated shouting and no reply, dragon thought that Ajin and Aqing were killed inside by the thunders. It flew to the roof and took away the hay on it to see what happened. Suddenly the sand mixed with chili powder came up from the house and hit dragon in the eyes. Screaming painfully, dragon fell to the ground and rolled. Aqing took this opportunity to beat it with the iron rod, and dragon struggled for a while, causing a long pit on the ground. The brothers held the dragon up and smashed it hard, all the water inside dragon came out and became the present Long Lake.

Utterly discomfited, the tortoise came to fight Ajin and Aqing, who seized the opportunity to hold its feet up and smashed it. Yellow dust came up, and a deep and wide pit appeared with water flowing into it, becoming the present Round Lake

Killing the dragon and tortoise, the brothers and other villagers had a safe and sound life.
